Product Overview

True Care Technology’s Metal Detector for Tablets and Capsules offers advanced sensitivity and stability in detecting various metals essential in pharmaceutical production. It effectively identifies ferrous metals (Fe), non-ferrous metals like copper and aluminum, and stainless steel. Designed for integration after pharmaceutical processes or filling equipment such as tablet presses and capsule fillers, this fully automatic digital system ensures comprehensive detection of both magnetic and non-magnetic metals such as iron and aluminum. It is tailored to detect solid forms like tablets, soft and hard capsules, and pills, crucially ensuring that any metal contaminants are identified before final packaging. In the pharmaceutical industry, where product integrity and safety are paramount, this system plays a vital role in compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining consumer confidence.

Applications

A gravity-fed metal detector (also known as a gravity-fall or free-fall metal detector) is specifically designed to inspect dry, free-flowing bulk powders, granules, and small solids as they fall vertically through a pipe or chute under the force of gravity.

Primary Applications
  • Food Processing & Packaging Industry:
    • Bulk Powders & Grains: Inspecting flour, sugar, starch, salt, milk powder, coffee, and various grains before they are packaged.
    • Snacks & Confectionery: Screening free-flowing items like nuts, seeds, beans, dried fruit, plastic-packaged candies, and cereals.
    • Spices & Seasonings: Detecting tiny metal shavings or fragments in fine or coarse spice powders prior to final bottling or bagging.
  • Pharmaceutical & Chemical Industries:
    • Powders & APIs: Screening bulk active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, and chemical additives to maintain absolute product purity.
    • Tablets & Capsules: Passing intermediate granules or finished pills through drop-through units before final blister packing.
  • Plastic & Chemical Manufacturing:
    • Plastic Pellets & Regrind: Checking plastic granules, resins, and recycled polymer flakes before they enter injection moulding or extrusion machines to protect expensive screws and barrels from damage.
