Product Overview
The True Care Technology Capsule Polishing Machine is integrated with a dust extraction system to ensure effective cleaning and superior capsule finish. It operates on the principle of a rotating spiral brush with precision grooves, which continuously conveys and polishes capsules. Capsules are fed into a cylindrical polishing chamber, where the rotating spiral nylon brush gently removes powder particles adhered to the capsule surface while simultaneously moving the capsules forward.
A Teflon outer net prevents capsule damage from metal contact and provides an open area for efficient vacuum suction of the removed powder. The combined action of compressed air and vacuum keeps the polishing chamber and nylon brush clean and free from powder buildup, ensuring consistent performance.
Once capsules enter the polishing chamber through the inlet chute, the spiral brush conveys them upward against gravity toward the discharge chute. During this process, capsules are continuously rubbed against the nylon bristles, resulting in thorough surface cleaning. The loosened powder is immediately extracted by the vacuum system, leaving the capsules completely polished.
At the discharge end, polished capsules are fed into a capsule sorter, which operates on a pneumatic principle. Compressed air separates empty or defective capsules into a rejection bowl, while acceptable capsules are discharged smoothly through the outlet chute.

Applications
A capsule polisher is an essential finishing machine used in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical production. Its primary role is to clean, polish, and dabbed stray powder or dust from the exterior of freshly filled hard gelatine or HPMC capsules before they proceed to packaging.
Key Applications & Functions
- Surface Dust Removal
- During the encapsulation process, fine traces of powder inevitably cling to the outside surface of the capsule shell. Polishers use continuous mechanical tumbling and soft-bristle action or airflow to remove this residual powder, ensuring the final product looks clean and professional.
- Sorting and Rejection
- Many modern capsule polishers come equipped with integrated sorting attachments:
- Empty Capsule Rejection: Using a pneumatic system or density separation, light or unfilled/telescoped capsules are automatically ejected.
- Fragment Sorting: Broken pieces or shattered capsule shells are filtered out through perforated sorting cylinders.
